However, a new computer comes with UEFI secure boot enabled, so we can't image it unless we reformat the drive and reinstall from scratch. Ghost works for us with Windows 8.1 and Server 2012R2 if we put the BIOS in legacy BIOS mode before installing Windows. However, Ghost does not work with UEFI and Symantec stopped updating it years ago after Ghost 11.5 in Solution Suite 2.5. We have been using Symantec Ghost to make backup images of computers to reapply at a later time to refresh Windows or replace the boot drive. It has been fine for us to boot from CD or USB flash drive and write/read the image on USB flash drive. I need help finding a suitable disk imaging solution to replace our Ghost 11.5 that will work with UEFI secure boot on new computers.
